LENR: What’s Not to Die For?

To believe or not to believe, that is the question. Having let myself get sucked into the murky world of LENR with its theater so crazy that my insomnia now bubbles over with visions of Rabbits and Oil Cabals, I struggle in daylight hours to find that balance between skepticism and cynicism, open mindedness and gullibility. The pathoskeps are, sadly, very right in their basic position. As far as I can tell, no smoking gun proof of the validity of LENR claims has come along. The cynical edge to their howling grates on the act of actually thinking is of no more value than a flagellant extolling the value of faith. The field is turning into the truest example of the scientific method at work, with a claim so IMMENSE that each and every one of us will need to do the experiment hands on before we allow real belief.  And since there is no e-Cat store on my block and I am plumb out of nanometer nickel powder, I can only in those delirious predawn hours strain at grasping what the PlanetMind is doing, and what various interest groups are up to in this miraculous madhouse.

Take the military. Imagine this: You are a four-star general in the Pentagon. You have funded things like “Staring at Goats” and “remote viewing“. It is 1989 and Pons and Fleishmann have just announced the discovery of an energy source so incredible that it may require a new religion to adore fully enough.  What would you do?  As years went by, while the public crucifixion of P&F went along charmingly, various reports, many from groups under the Pentagon/National Security umbrella crept in of tritium generation, various radiations and anomalous heat.  Credible, trained researchers are active in foreign (FOREIGN, for God’s sake!) countries which support these claims in a beguiling way, like some flirt with a button undone.  You call in your MIT geek, think tank crazy, weapon pedaling crowd  always hot for a brand new gizmo to take to the task and justify their bureaucratic existence.  And what do you get from the think tank boys?  Read the Bushnell slide show!  Endless loiter capability, completely altered battlefield logistics; no more frozen foot soldiers; water, water everywhere!  This discovery would alter the war-making abilities of the modern military more than anything, save nuclear weapons!  Even there, although the direct use of LENR as a weapon has been discounted, who knows?  Imagine the consequences of a scalable nuclear device.  Imaging the consequences of a home heating unit that Make magazine juices into a thousand pounds of TNT bomb.  Imagine the temptation to use nukes if it was possible to make them at any yield and in any size range and they didn’t poison the battlefield.  A hand grenade that could completely destroy a tank or a bunker complex. A cave smasher “Bin Laden special” that could have creamed Tora Bora with no collateral damage.

The fact that the Military Industrial Complex has not rolled out LENR devices speaks to me…and says “either they are so AFRAID of the technology in general distribution that they are co-conspirators in PlanetMind’s efforts to suppress it, while actually having the technology developed, OR it doesn’t exist.” The same general train of thought, sadly, also applies to the Energy Men. While you are imagining, imagine that you stumble upon the “Secret Sauce” and get a visit from the Men in Black…as perhaps Andrea Rossi, Brain Ahern and George Miley already have.

And for Christmas we got the Rossi and Focardi t-shirts To Die For: (see http://www.zazzle.com/energyrevolution)

  2. As soon as I discovered this internet site I went on reddit to share some of the love with them.

I would need about dozen units at say $100/$500 each of 1kw/5Kw units….I know i know Rossi says it will come down to $1000/kw a year after but hey I am an optimist….I’m sure price will come down soon enough when Chinese knockoffs pour in…. One to heat the house. One to generate eletricity. One replace f#$%@g engine in my car…… Just a minute make that two cars…. and then one to heat up my swiming pool 24/7 he he he…. Wait, add to that few of my powered bycicles and backyard buggies and lawnmowers….. and then my own personal flying machines….. whewww !! I just can’t stop it…….. there’s jus ttoo many things I get dizzy just thinking about it.

Andrea Rossi is already killing with it if is real.
I am certainly done portraying Andrea Rossi in a positive light.

I believe he cannot make this product stable based on NASA and Defkalion remarks. I actually hope this is true at this point.

    Because if it is real……..

    The prices also seem crazy.

The reactors appear to be so simple I am guessing they could mass produce for $10 each. Aside from a lid there is no moving parts. I see electronics at my dollar store that seem way more involved.

Like I said I was a fan, but this “I will build them all” business plan is slow moving and deadly. People are dying everyday because of smog/oil wars/and lack of food and water.

Cheap energy could solve desalination problems in parched countries, and provide arid farmland.

I would have been the first to give Andrea Rossi Kudos, but now I think he is just a money hungry power plant developer that is as greedy as Mr.burns from The Simpsons. I am not just saying that because of the obvious resemblance either.

If he has the ability to prove cold fusion to the world and he doesn’t then he is committing murder. Money, Money, Money, Money.

Maybe if a few other fans convert he will see the Evil of his way.

How many children die everyday from lack of clean water?
(3 900 everyday based on 2004 WHO rates)

That means that 1 423 500 children will die if it takes the world 1 more year to start implementing LENR to desalinaze water. Even a cheap LENR reaction of 100+ degrees could be used to desalinate water. Any steam will do.

He could have been a hero, but instead is a “businessman” as if that excuses the deaths we could attribute to him.

Does this sound harsh or fair? What would you do if you had this knowledge? Try to save a child’s life or make your millions?

Andrea Rossi can stay atop Mount Crumpett and sneer at the masses. I hope his name is forgotten.

    • Uranox says:

Who really killed was those men who destroyed Pons and Fleishmann in 1989. The same men are still working hard to hide any scientific evidence of LENR. Just an example, here in Italy happened the same as P&F to Antonella De Ninno (in 2002) who showed strict correlation between heat generation and 4He creation during a cold-fusion reaction. She cannot even publsh about the work (Rapporto 41 – ENEA) and was soon moved to other researchs.
So what should Rossi do ? Should he fight alone against the SPECTRE ?
Rossi wasn’t helped by anyone in his effort and even sold his house and borrow money to get the ECat done. It was hard work for him and took several years of his life. I think it’s natural that he want to “get rich” with his creation.
Rossi also said that for a complete disclosure of his device we simply need to wait the grant of the patent. He always answer to anyone who want to study his device “Buy one and study as you want”.
I think the world should be thankfully with Rossi who could even sold his project to someone whose only interest is to put it in a drawer and forget it. Keep in mind that many people even died for much less than this attack to oil power.

    • Brad Arnold says:

Impatient, huh? Frankly, I’m not certain Rossi could do anything different to speed LENR integration up. Look at the time line: http://ecatfusion.com/e-cat/andrea-rossi-biography-the-e-cat-fusor-story
I mean, he reluctantly does a public demonstration, and immediately is attacked. This phenomenon (LENR) has been confirmed in hundreds of published scientific papers ( http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/RothwellJtallyofcol.pdf
) but Rossi gets harrassed for making essencially the same claim. Here is a detailed description of a LENR generator and formula from a US government contract: http://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/GernertNnascenthyd.pdf

Now ask yourself how you can blame Rossi for not convincing the psudo-skeptics when there is so much evidence out there already that is being ignored. No, Rossi had no choice but to build a manufacturing company from the ground up because there was no big money R&D on the table to take it to the next level because those CEOs don’t believe. As Rossi has always said, the time for words is over, and the marketplace will be the ultimate arbitor of the legimacy of LENR.

  5. Brad Arnold says:

“As far as I can tell, no smoking gun proof of the validity of LENR claims has come along.”

LENR using nickel. Incredibly: Ni+H+K2CO3(heated under pressure)=Cu+lots of heat. Here is a detailed description of the device and formula from a US government contract: http://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/GernertNnascenthyd.pdf

This phenomenon (LENR) has been confirmed in hundreds of published scientific papers: http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/RothwellJtallyofcol.pdf

Here is a PowerPoint presentation by George Miley of the University of Illinois who has successfully replicated the LENR “cold fusion” reaction: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/mragheb/www/NPRE%20498ES%20Energy%20Storage%20Systems/Nuclear%20Battery%20using%20Clusters%20in%20Nanomaterials.pptx

    Dear Admin:
How can we be so sure that the defense boys have not already rolled out LENR utilizing weapons? How do you make a helicopter silent? How long can those drones stay up? See that drone that Iran “shot down”. How is it propelled?I think that it is here and now.
One other thing. I think that it is no longer oil that conrols the world. It is, in fact, the banks and they WANT this technology released because its going to save their butts. We are getting close to the big reveal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ooooooooooooooobaby!
the powers that be in 1989 jumped on this tech, made sure that nobody else would work on it by using derision, peer pressure, scorn and intimidation (oh yeah, I forgot, no funding, or minimal at best) This only makes logical sense. Those boys may be a lot of things but they are not STUPID.

    • Ben says:

I have to agree that it would be no surprise if this technology was already being used by the military.

Now as for the “Big Reveal” and cold fusion saving the banks…I don’t know about all that. Do you have some details, or at least a theory, on how all that may come to be?
